Upon completing this course, students will get Level 3 Certificate of VTCT qualification (Quality assured by Churchtown Institute of Advanced Beauty college).

Students have access to our e-learning platform which includes detailed video tutorials, access to all course materials, and everything else you need to complete your theory exam. You will also have lifetime access to our closed Electrologist Whatsapp Group, where you will be able to chat to past students & get expert advice from us, anytime you need.

Theory Modules – You will have 2 weeks to complete the theory module of your course, from home, in your own time.

Practical Modules – You will be required to attend x 4 day classes (Mondays 10.00am to 5.00pm) over a 4 week period during the course schedule program you choose (see course schedule choices below). During this time you will work on real life models, and will be guided by our expert tutors to perfect your technique, to get the best possible results.

Exam – Your final exam will involve a final multiple-choice test exam on and a final practical exam where you will be examined working on your model.

What This Course Covers:

  • Health, safety and hygiene.
  • Consultation technique.
  • Contraindications.
  • Skin – Structure & diseases/disorders.
  • Hair – Structure & growth.
  • Causes of superfluous hair growth.
  • Procedures & Techniques of Epilation.
  • Preparation of client and selection of needle types.
  • Probing techniques.
  • Short wave diathermy, galvanic and blend methods of electrolysis.
  • Deal with inquiries, retail, complaints and all forms of client care.
  • Ingrowing hairs and how to deal with them.
  • Laser hair removal – know your competition.

Course Structure:

Much of the qualification is completed as home-study, including written and practical coursework making this an ideal route for those who wish to study flexibly around other commitments.

The course will run on Mondays from 10am – 4pm; although we ask students to arrive at 9.45am to ensure a prompt start. You will learn the theory of the treatment firstly, and spend the majority of the training days acquiring and demonstrating your practical skills, with a short break for lunch.

VTCT is an assessment based course so you will have to complete 6 practical assessments during your course.

Once you have completed all training, coursework and your assessments you will arrange to attend a multiple choice written assessment day and practical assessment day in Churchtown Institute of Advanced beauty college to achieve your level 3 VTCT qualification in Electrical Epilation.

Course Entry Requirements:

  • You are required to give and receive treatments as part of this course, so this means all students have to practice on each other legs, arms and if possible on facial hairs before we can proceed doing treatments on models/clients.
  • VTCT/ITEC level 2 beauty therapy qualifications or equivalent of health care/medical qualifications.
  • If any of the above requirements pose a challenge to you, then please get in touch with us so that we can advise you on how to fulfill the requirements using alternative pathways.
  • All products and tools are provided for the training days at the Clinic when you attend. No kit is required to complete the training days, nor included in the course fee.

What Qualification Will You Receive?:

When you have successfully completed your training course, you will receive your Internationally recognised, fully insurable qualification in electrical epilation.

Once you have completed your assessment days you will also receive your VTCT qualification certificate (this can take up to 12 weeks to be released from the awarding body VTCT).

Additional Work Required To Complete This Qualification:

Aside from your practical training, your VTCT qualification course also involves home-study and assessments as required by the awarding body VTCT.

The qualification requires written coursework to be submitted and marked by an assessor before you can be progressed to the assessment stage.

At the time of booking your course, you will be given an access to an online e-learning platform to watch the tutorials online, to get an access to all the materials and to print out the notes.

You will also require to do all your tests online before you will be allowed to do your practical part.

Once coursework is complete, you will be invited to arrange your assessment days. The VTCT certificate is issued by the awarding body following successful completion of the assessment days.

Course Cost:

  • Price of €1200.00 includes: training in Electrical Epilation (method of hair removal).
  • Including VTCT Exam Fees €150.00.
  • €600 booking deposit required.

Course Dates:

Theory Part – The students are given two weeks to complete the theory part at their own time.

Students get the access to online e-learning platform to watch video tutorials, access all the materials and to complete their tests.

Practical Part – The students attend the class from 10.00am to 5.00pm to work on the models to perfect their techniques.

Exam – The students are required to do a multiple-choice test and a practical part working on the model.
